Lots of questions

Ok as the title says I have a lot of questions. I have a 65 Ford F100 with a 300 straight six. I'm going to be removing the exhaust manifold, and replace it with headman headers. Im going to also replacing the intake manifold with a Offenhauser, and I'm getting a Holly 4 barrel carb. So...with replacing the exhaust manifold I'm losing the heat riser. I've read that is no big lose but I've also read that the intake can frost over without the heat from the exhaust manifold and cause flat spots in accelerate. I've looked into getting a heating plate that uses coolant to apply the heat. What is you alls thoughts on all of this. In Missouri is it necessary to have the heat for the intake and will the heat in the engine bay be enough? If it matters I plan on getting ceramic coated headers.

I was just about to post the same thing. 😊 Keep in mind that the important thing is a STABLE temperature. The heat plate isn't necessarily just to warm it up, but to keep it at or around the same temperature. With the heat from headers, it may be necessary in cooling it down as well.

"...the important thing is a STABLE temperature."

X2! And that is what water heat to the manifold does...bring stability to the intake which carburetors 'love'.
