Sorry im a novice at cars and just got my first truck. And today after replacing a fuse my dad noticed that the dash lights wouldnt come on. We checked the fuse box and the correct fuse is a 5 amp fuse but we looked and it was a 7.5 amp and it took a bit to take it out because it was melted we tryed another fuse to see if it would work and it wouldnt we dont know if somthing is shorted but another fuse wont fix it anyone have any other Ideas where to look or what to replace.Also this has nothing to do with this but what size valve cover does my truck have it has a 302 5.0 v8 in it.

 

The cluster illumination is dimmable; turn the headlight **** all the way counterclockwise = full dim (off) all the way the other direction is full bright. Does that fix it?

 

I don't get the question about the valve cover.

 

It gets a 302 valve cover?

Head light switch, dome light and cargo light etc., they seem to be all interconnected.
