The updated sticker is (well, was...) part of the TSB. The SD sticker would be completely different.

Hmm, above pic shows a 1227 belt; maybe that would be a better fit than the 1223 (amazing how aprx. 1/2" can make a difference...).

Haha yeah that was at my father in laws. We had stuff every where when we were doing all the work to my truck.

My old tensioner is identical to the one in Post #15, and my routing sticker is identical to the WHITE one (havent looked to see if a black one is buried under it).

I think I'll get another 1237 while I can . I'm thinking that while a 1227 might fit with my new tensioner, it may be a bit tight. Perhaps if I had smaller idler pulleys...

What am I missing about why angle grinders are in those pics? ;-)

I had the grinder out to notch out the alt bracket.

The black sticker is the replacement sticker, relevant to the TSB. It wouldn't be under the original white sticker.

Most likely the posters used them to mod the bracket, per the TSB.

I can't tell by looking at that pic if that is a true motorcraft BT50 or a parts store equivalent.

My recent experience is that the parts store equivalent of the BT50 has both pulleys as part of the single bolt on assembly, but that only the ribbed pulley pivots, the smooth is fixed. This style does not give enough pivoting movement to fit a 122" belt.

When I replaced that with a real motor craft BT50, the style that both pulleys pivot together, there was enough movement to fit the 122" belt. It was at the tightest of the three tension marks, but it fit nicely.

^^^^^ Comparing pics of the Gates, Dayco and Motorcraft SD tensioners on RockAuto's web site, the one in pic#1 in post#15 appears to be a Motorcraft.

Yes I replaced all my pulleys and belt with motorcraft. I used the part numbers from the tsb for the super duty upgrade.
