Exclamation 1950 Ford F1 Vent Window Rubber

Ok, i need some help with installing new rubber to around my vent windows. As it is the old rubber is hard and brittle, which keeps from being able to close them all the way. I can pull the glass out but the frame around the glass i have no idea how to get it out so i can put the new rubber in. I though about cutting the new rubber where the hole is for the bottom side of the vent, but i would rather not do that. Any help would be appreciated thank you in advance.

Also I need to replace the front leaf spring bushings, how should I go about that safely?

This is a bit of a task but it's not too bad. You'll need to remove the main window, then take out the division bar. Once that's out you can swivel the vent window frame to remove three screws that hold the vent window assembly to the door. Remove those screws and the assembly will slide out. Once the assembly is out you can then remove the nut at the bottom of the vent window assembly and the vent window frame can then be removed to allow you to install new rubber. Hope this helps.

Thank YOU 52' fordnut

That did the trick. it wasn't to bad, now its just a matter of getting the window put back. I was wondering though hoe do you take off the handle? luckily i didn't need to but they are rusted and i couldn't find a keeper screw on it anywhere, does it just pull off?

It has a very small pin holding it on. Take a small punch and push it out, then the handle will come off. Don't lose that little washer.
