I don't mind at all. maybe you will be better at spraying that snotty substance, lol!
product is SEM pro-tex
It has a short working time. I practiced on the tailgate and bumper before I tackled the bed, maybe I should have practiced on the bed first, lol.
then texture on the bed looks nicer than the texture on the bumper and tailgate.
That pretty much wraps up the bed, now I have to get the cab and doors done.

It's an SEM product called "Pro-Tex"
ours is black, it's a simple 2:1 mix and I applied it with a standard schutz gun although they recommend their gun or a schutz with a 1/2" pickup tube.
You can do it with a standard schutz if you keep moving , empty the bottle every time and I actually flushed after every bottle was empty to prevent clogging of the pickup tube and skinning inside the bottle. Don't mix up more than a qt (mixed) at a time.
I found that around 22 oz of the base then 11 oz of the catalyst was about perfect. it's a gross of 33 oz mixed but it doesn't pour out clean from the mixing cup because it's so damn heavy. standard schutz bottle will hold a qt.
Get the bed prepped, ours was primed already, had been previously taken to bare metal. we scuffed it, vacuumed, blew it out, wiped with wax & grease remover and masked it.
It's a messy job, glad I had rubber gloves on.
While I was spraying in the booth, my boy was pre measuring the base in 22 oz amounts into 2 qt mixing buckets. that made it faster for me when I came out of the booth to dump in the catalyst, stir it for about a minute & a half, dump it in my bottle and get back in the booth.
I sprayed the front panel first with one coat (which shouldn't quite cover completely) then the sides, then went back over the front and sides. Then started working my way out of the box by coating the floor.
I had a step stool with an old towel on top to wipe my feet on every time before I climbed back up into the box.
We peeled tape while the product was still wet, gleaned the gun out and called it a night.

Things are looking good this morning. I'm glad that I used toothpicks to prop up these D rings last night, otherwise they would have been glued pretty firmly in place because this stuff hardened up really nice.
Here's where we did the tape line up top.
I'm pretty happy with it, I see why these aren't cheap. They are kind of a pain in the butt.
