Why no dual tanks on '92 SWB 4x4?

You guys are lucky, My 82 only has a 16.5 gallon tank....

Why no dual tanks on '92 SWB 4x4?

Does the transfer case get in the way for a factory mid ship tank?? could that be one of the reasons? I stand corrected. i didn't think you could get duals on any of these models.

Why no dual tanks on '92 SWB 4x4?

T/fer case is close to where the mid-ship should be but on my '86 there was no conflict at all. Oh well, guess we'll never know why?
