1988 f250 ball joint torque question

Just replaced upper and lower ball joints after 210,000 miles. There is a castle nut on the lower ball joint and a bolt that clamps the steering spindle around the upper ball joint stud. My crappy Chilton book seems to say (on trucks with coil springs on the front) 35 ft lbs for the lower and 90 to 140 ft lbs on the bolt clamping around the upper stud. The cotter pin lined up great on the lower castle at 35 ft lbs. But that seemed like too much torque for the top bolt. Does anybody know if this is correct? Also, what is the torque on the tie rod to spindle castle nuts. Thanks in advance.
