So rear pads and rotors... What should I go with?

I am pretty sure I did the hawk green pads on my 5.4 a few years back and they seemed alright. I would like to go ahead and redo the rears and bleed the brakes while I have it all apart to try to get the pedal a little more firm but I'm not sure what would be the best. I don't tow but I do love to brake hard. I'll be doing the rotors at the same time and was planning on buying these brake rotors unless there is something better without being 3x the price. How much of a difference is there with just stepping up to the SS braided lines?

My recommendation is that you don't go for the drilled rotors (of any brand). Standard rotors will serve you best. My experience with drilled rotors is that they get grooves and also more prone to cracking.

I'm going on 4 years with my Power Slot Cryo treated slotted rotors. Before i was warping stock rotor replacements every 6 months. I'm also Running HAWK sever duty parts...i love'em!

I need to do rotors and pads on the F-150 soon...thinking power stop this time around as i've heard good things?

That set up should be a good option Apoc. Slotted is better than drilled (unless you are looking to reduce unsprung weight that is - not something you need with the Ex). Doubt this is a cheap option though.

Braided SS brake lines makes a notable difference in pedal feel. In fact, I have a 3 piece set you can have if you take care of the flat rate shipping. All you would need then is to call Crown and have them make you a set of the rear axle braided lines.

The reason my left over is 3 piece is because I bought the 3-piece Crown set and then realized it was missing the two pieces for the rear axle. So, I ordered the 5-piece Russell set just to use the 2 axle pieces. Someone here on FTE with more patience than me figured out that Crown actually makes the axle lines on special order.

Ebc standard rotors and Hawk super duty pads. Both available from summit. I run em on all four corners.

Hawk LTS pads and Power slot cryo rotors up front on mine and the Hawk LTS pads and Orielly rotors in back. Works good for me, and the rears don't dust as much nor used as much as the front.

For the rears, go with a quality OEM replacement like Centric. Any decent pad to match the Centric rotors will be fine.

I have Wagner pads with a set of Centric rotors that I use for the rear brakes on my rigs. Since the rear brakes provide much less stopping power, a good quality set up (ie, ya aint gotta pay an arm and a leg) is easier to find.

I run Wagner rotors and pads on both my trucks.

I run Wagner Severe Duty pads on my trucks. You can't find them at an autoparts store, but you CAN get them at Rock Auto for $43 front AND rear.

I was considering the Wagner Thermoquiets, but not sure if ceramic or semi-metallic is better. It's hard to find facts on the differences between them.
