2005 f150 lift kit/leveling kit

Thinking about doing a leveling kit possibly a lift kit on my 2005 F150 5.4 4x4. Thoughts, opinions, advice. Anything is welcome. Thanks

I'm very happy with the look and performance of my Rancho Quicklift struts. Opinions differ and only you know what look you want. Look at pics and find what fits you, there are a ton of options out there!

Why not check out a Skyjacker 2004-2008 Ford F150 4WD suspension? They have hydro or nitro shock system options. Quite satisfied with mine.

Are you just looking to bring the front up to the level of the rear or raise front and back?

I haven't really decided what I wanna do. Don't really wanna spend an arm and a leg but want it to look good.

I just installed a Daystar 1" Level kit on the front of my truck yesterday. The front is now within 1/4" of the rear height and it was only $40.

Here's before measurements for reference
Front:

Rear:

The install was pretty straightforward, but I did run into an issue. The nut on upper ball joint would not come all of the way off. It came off hard from the beginning and looked like it was cross threaded from the factory. I ended up getting it off and replacing the upper control arm with a Moog and it really wasn't bad. If using the 1" level kit I do suggest removing the entire strut because you do have to cut the about 3/8" off of the bolts on the strut mount. I threaded the factory nuts down 3/8" inch on each bolt and used that as my guide to cut it with a cut off wheel and then when you remove the nut it allows you to thread the extensions on. One thing to note if you remove the entire strut that you'll need to have some pretty large metric sockets. I believe I used a 27mm & 30mm. My new battery Milwaukee impacts REALLY made the job easier.
After leaving it sit for a day and taking it for a short ride, this is what the front measures now.
