Changing the OD shift point?

I have a 2002 F150 Supercrew 4.6L 2wd truck. Just added a set of 32" tires to it. Trucks runs and drives great, so thing I don't like is that around town in traffic it shifts into OD to so.

Is there a way of changing the OD shift point?

Yes there is. Get a custom made chip or programmer for the computer. That's the only way to change the shift points.

When you say it shifts too soon, do you mean it shifts into OD before you are going fast enough?

If so, just keep your foot down an it wo'nt shift until you ease up.

Or are you saying that the torque converter locks up at too low a speed?

BTW, did you correct the speedometer for the change in tire size?

Sons truck does this with the 33's. He simply locks out O/D until he needs it. I assume your in town driving keeps you 50 mph or below. No issues doing it this way on our 98.
