Anyhow, today my 97 became possessed and the DS window started coming down by itself at random. Make for an exciting ride when the weather is in the teens!

My first thought was the wires at the door but it's been too cold to dig into it today. Will look when it warms up a bit.

I need to pull out the manuals but don't think the PW should go through the GEM?

Anyone else experience this problem?

 

Most of those Ive seen is a weak or broken contact spring in the switch. Or moisture in the switch making the contact. The switch is the first place I look, the door wiring second.

The weather warmed up so I checked both things. Didn't find anything wrong. Took it for a ride and all is well and the window behaved. I'm thinking it was just tired of the cold and snow too!

It happened after an ice storm so I'm thinking it was water/ice/moisture related.
