ive ran into a wall with this air intrusion problem. Recently replaced my ip and injectors and did the return lines not too long ago. After installing the ip I found a leak coming from the ip to the fuel filter. Found out it was an olive and replaced that. Now it is hard to start after sitting for some time and is really annoying. Help please this is frustrating :/
Do this test with clear fuel line and report back what you find. Make sure you run engine at 1500 rpm for 3-5 min to clear air introduced by putting clear line on, then run at 3000 rpm for 3-5 min and pay attention which direction air bubbles are traveling if you have any. If no air bubbles when running shut off and watch to see if fuel drains and what direction it is flowing. Also after sitting overnight is fuel filter full? Did you install new filter when this started happening if so change it again, I have seen new filters that have air leak without leaking fuel.

Ok after sitting overnight the truck started fine, idled fine and didn't die. Maybe the air found its way out or something? I will continue to monitor it. If it begins to happen again I will replace the fuel filter but I recently changed it within the past 3 months.
