12V trouble light?

I'm looking for a 12v trouble light. I know they make such things because I have one. But I got it at a yard sale and have no clue where it's from. Now I would like to buy another, but even looking on eBay doesn't bring up much.

Help?

Are you talking about a tool for testing or for illuminating the work area? If it's for illumination, GM vehicles from the 80s to 90s frequently had detachable underhood lights that even have a wind up spool of wire in them. With cheap multi-LED flashlights available now, plug-in 12v lights aren't overly popular.

Hmmm I haven't seen one for a sale in a long time either. Did a search, not finding any. FWIW I'm not a fan of them anyway. I much prefer a 12V AA/AAA battery charger and headlamps and flashlights.

If you really want a 12v work light though, wouldn't be that hard to make a good one.

Take a regular 110v trouble light, go to a RV or Camper store, get a 12v light that will screw into the socket, strip the wires on the plug end install battery charger clips, your set. Made one like this a few years ago.
