Turbo issues

I just bought an 06 f250 diesel four door long bed for work and the truck was driving fine when I first drove it but two days after buying it the yellow engine light went off .. I took it to a local shop and had to get a lift gate and the sensor replaced and when I was there it looked like someone tried to glue it on before.. So I thought it was fixed and loaded the truck and got ready for a job the next day.. After pumping gas the light came in again I didn't have time so I drove to the job site.. And while on the highway the truck started pulling and stalling like the truck kind of vibrated I freaked the **** out I thought my transmission gears weren't catching it happens at 55 mph .. I took the truck back to were they fixed it and they said the turbo had build up so he sprayed it down with some slution and said it would be fine it just had to spin to clean itself ..I think it's the transmission the transmission doesn't have any codes going off supposedly what do you guys recommend I should do? I'd appreciate any advice

Find a better shop (seriously). We all wish cleaning up a turbo was that easy. Another less expensive option if you turn wrenches or are interested, would be to buy an OBDII device capable of displaying live data. Spend a little time in the Tech folder on this website, and we'll try n help. Click the link below for a general idea of what devices are available and an idea of what the prices are like.

Just a WAG but maybe the fuel was bad? Fuel filters are a good place to start, especially if they've been in there a while. A quick look at the trans fluid for proper level and condition would be in order also but often times what seem like trans issues turn out to be engine related.

Welcome to FTE.
