I think you will be pleasantly surprised once you give her a good bath or pressure washing. It looks to be pretty solid, over all from what I can see. I'm sure the flat head guys will be more than happy to advise you what to do, and not to do in order to find the true condition of the motor. One thing for sure, is your in for a very enjoyable adventure. So take lots of pictures, get yourself a shop manual, and some catalogs from some of the vendors out there like Classic Haulers, Sacramento Vintage Ford, C&G , LMC, Dennis Carpenter, Classic performance products, Macs, Speed Way motors, Summit Racing, and many more There's tons of suppliers out there to choose from. And sometimes you can find what your looking for from the great folks that you will meet here on FTE. So welcome, and congratulations on your new truck, its going to be "Too Cool for School"

Thanks for the advice everyone, and the well wishes. I don't know much about the engine and neither did the previous owner. It was on a salvage yard and from the looks of the lot he had better projects to work on. As soon as I can I will go out and at least see if it turns. I know there are several shops around here that could help me with the end of the frame if needed, but thats awhile off.
I just mention the ***** because on several pics of these trucks there seems to be a cluster of them that hang down under the speaker couver on the dash. I don't have the parts disk yet so when that comes it may clarify things.
I dont mind putting in the time. I got 5 boys ranging from 16 to 5 months. Hoping they all get to contribute something. Thanks again everyone.

The cluster of ***** below the dash would be heater control. The number of ***** would be determined by the model of the heater.
Std ***** on the dash would be choke and hand throttle, and of course, headlight switch and windshield wiper.
The two cables through the dash are add on controls for the PTO and hydraulics, both of which you will probably remove unless you want to run the PTO.

I have bought two from Dick. Good experience each time. His trucks are unmolested, quite dry and straight off the farm. Your truck just had that look and the ND plate. Where did you get it shipped to? The waiting for a trucker to pick it up on 'Central Dispatch' can be painful at best. Very nice truck by the way!!
