Good morning FTE,

I currently have an '88 F150 4.9L M5OD 4x2 truck. I am considering picking up an '89 F250 5.0L ZF5 4x4 truck from a friend and swapping the 4.9 into the F250. I'm trying to compile a list of things I'll need/need to do to complete the swap. I've done lots of searching but it seems most folks go the opposite direction (which is fine). I'll have both trucks side-by-side so I'm hoping this will be relatively painless.

Are the shock towers the same size on both trucks? I know I'll need to move the motor mounts to the F250, the computer from the 4.9, and redo the exhaust. Anything else I'll need to be concerned with?

I wouldn't be surprised if they we're cause logistically thinking they'd be different cause the f250's have a higher rating, I've never messed with em though, just my $0.02
