Finally found my 40/20/40's

After searching 4 junkyards in one day, with the pan and one track of 2 needed, it was time to make something work. Took this track out of a passenger seat on a 1993 Ford E series passenger/cargo van. A little bit of grinding those side pieces, drilling out a rivet on each one, drilling the hole bigger and new hole on the back of seat with bolt and washer, the other stud lined up. So if anyone is searching for a track, these can be made to work pretty easily. Only took about 10 mins per track.

Found this seat and pan with just one track. I needed two.

Finally after a lot of searching various and countless junkyards and repeated trips, got these bad dogs installed. Cleaned up really nice. Thanks again Dave (Crewcabber) for your help along the way. These things are really hard to find for crew cab or regular cabs. These seats came out of a Super cab truck, cleaned them up and mounted them to a reg cab seat pan.

They turned out good. A little searching and creativeness and voila done.

I wish those blue 40/20/40's where a little cleaner I'd slam them in the back of my truck

Feels like a brand new truck. Believe it or not it makes the suspension feel tighter because you're not bouncing around in the seat.
