Build thread 51 F-1 with 302/C-6/AC TractormanBill
Started build in 2012.
Frame blasted, epoxy primed and painted gloss black.
IFS installed with front disc and rack & pinion P/S.
Mustang IFS
C-4 with shift linkage.
Exhaust with two Magnaflow mufflers.
This was before new steel fenders were available so you just have to work it.
Another project to tackle.
Just patch it!
Rust gone now!
Had to repair both rear sides of lower cab.
Wife helping tear down doors.
Getting a trial fit on everything.
Inside painted Red.
Fuse box hung and wiring started.
Steering column hung and note dual cone speaker mounted in original hole in dash.
Made bracket to mount speaker in original hole at an angle using old wiper holes in top of dash.
Steering wheel installed also new gages installed with LED turn indicator lights and high beam indicator on top of dash.
Used interior trim edging on inner fender panel where it was cut to clear IFS stuff.
More trim on left inner fender panel for clearance.
Hung a new Vintage Air Mark IV with enough room to work vent handle. You can also see the dual cone speaker mounting.
I have detailed info on making the AC hoses with the E-Z Clip system on a Tech post I already posted.
This is all of the AC stuff that shows in the engine compartment.
AC lines run along the outside of the left inner fender panel along with the dryer.
Trinary AC switch on the dryer stick through the inner fender panel for the wiring.
AC hoses come through from the right inner fender panel through a bulkhead up and over the glove box and then drown to the evaporator under the dash.
Engine mounts for 302 are welded to the frame rails.
Engine is bored .040", balanced, has a mild cam and I just couldn't put it together without porting the heads and manifolds since they were off so much.
Engine installed and ready to go.
I went with the Vintage Air belt and pulley set-up.
Well it is drivable sitting on a bucket. Working on the seats now and then bolt on the body parts for painting.
