Hey John, I just sent you a Facebook friend request.
I didn't see a 53 in the pictures I could see. There was a "newer" Ford truck that looks to be a 67?
I did see this rim. Is this one on your 53?

History on a truck changes the game a bit. Costs can add up quickly but it can be fun.....and very frustrating.

One of the first things to check before getting involved is the brakes.
The drums are not available. Often times they are over bored and oversize linings only come in certain oversize

I have a yard somewhat close that has a couple F-500/f-600 but it's hit or miss regarding drums. Invest in a decent set of drum calipers (Aamco 8500 are avail online reasonable ) Have it calibrated and learn to use it. It will save you from buying junk.

Thanks for the info on the brakes I was wondering about the Isuzu five lug setups with disc brakes
