I recently bought a truck and it ran really well, then one day it died and wouldn't start. I talked to a mechanic and he said to replace the MAP sensor so I did and now it starts but will only run 1-2 minutes.
any ideas?!

I see that you have not received any replies yet.....and is likely due to being posted in the Appearance & Dress-up forum. If I knew more about your truck I would move this thread to the proper forum of which I am sure you will get help....but the readers will need a lot more information. So for now, may I suggest re-posting in the forum specific to your model year or engine/drivetrain.

Sounds a bit more like a fuel pump or fuel filter problem. You need to know what is missing when it won't start. Try checking for spark and then for fuel pressure.

 

it sounds more like a clogged converter, that particular year was bad for that
