I was at my dealer last Friday he told me 6 to 8 weeks I figured he was not telling the whole truth.

 

I got the same 6 week statement. I ordered on 2/11. I will update here as things progress

Started to build and price in november 2014. Was told it was going to ready this past weekend, now won't be in till after 3 11 2015. Ordered ruby red 3.5 eco,3.311 limited 701a group bed liner extended gas tank 5.5 bed, towing package.
I think the dealer order it for stock instead of for customer. They say it is built waiting shipping.....getting rather impatient

 

They are going to run out of the Ruby Red paint before they get to mine if I don't

The dealer did find one very close to what I want that was ordered for another dealer down in Ohio. Sticker says it was made last Friday 2/27/15. If he can grab it before it's shipped I'm going to buy it. I should know tomorrow.

We'll see how it all plays out but i got the VIN from my dealer today and used the order tracking site on Ford. It says the truck was ordered on 2/16 and will be delivered on 4/5. I can only hope that date stays.

 

This makes sense, the 2nd Ford plant for 2015's won't be at full steam till June. Ford is holding back on fleet sales and incentives to manage demand.

 

Through order processing and in production. Knock on wood... this is moving faster than i thought. Read an article saying fleet orders are down. Consumer is up 7%. Sounds like the fleet buyers want to hear how the aluminum works out.

 

That's not the reason, Ford has been restricting fleet sales, I imagine this is in an effort to make more truck available to consumers, which, with their limited production I'm sure they want to prioritize since Ford get's much higher margins on those.

I went ahead and ordered exactly what I wanted lariat SC 502a, 5.0L, 6.5', 20" wheels, liners bed and wheel wells. Ruby Red, gray int, 33g gas, EL 3.55, moon roof. Now for the long wait,, at least I can sort of follow it along on the web site. Order date 3/3/15.

 

did they give you a apprx time frame for delivery?

 

Salesman said 6-8 weeks But Lisa says 8-12 weeks and I believe her. Be nice to have it in mid May but bet I don't get it till June.

 

is 4/5 the delivery date or build date?
