Another light question. My '81 came stock with factory fog lamps. At some point in time they were removed or crushed on a stump. Either way I am looking for the protective frame and lights. Anybody know where I might find a pair?

 

Unless you are doing a perfect restoration, I would look for an nice aftermarket set. Those fog lights are very hard to find and are desired by mustang and truck owners. I've seen them selling for $500 online.

 

I figured I would get an aftermarket set. I just thought that since this Bronco seems to have every option offered that it would be kind of fun to get the original protective frames at least. I am assuming that the factory frames and lights were able to be separated?

 

I'm not sure, I've never seen a set in person. It would be very cool if you could find a set. I thought only the 2wd trucks had frames, and were mounted above the bumper, and 4wd had no frames, and mounted bellow it. Search the bullnose section, there's one post that explains everything well . Also does your bronco have power mirrors and sliding rear windows? Those were the 2 rarest options.

 

I have an '81 sales brochure and it shows the lights in a square box type frame mounted below the bumper. Seems like above the bumper would have been a better place. No, I don't have the power mirrors or sliders. Going through the brochure those two items and overdrive seem to be the only things not on it.
