ok so I have an 03 excursion with egr delete afe air intake 4 in magna exhaust I had a few bugs had to clean my turbo up after finding it was gummed up from my head gaskets blowing few months back. I have the egde juice with attitude on truck , just the other day noticed that the egr block plate was loose I tightend it back up and wham all power back truck takes off like a bat out of hell now which im happy but my question is my turbo psi its spiking up to 24-50 is that normal with the programmer is it possible the turbo is kaput?? the truck has less then 55k miles on it anyone have any ideas???

 

I don't think it's physically possible for a stock 03 turbo to boost to 50 psi, but if so, then the turbo definitely isn't kaput. I think it might be sticking again or you have some sensor issues going on. Regardless it's very strange.

 

And dangerous if you have stock head bolts.
