Little help please

I want to change the 3.55 gear in my truck to 4.10. I see Summit has a Ford Racing ring and pinion set for $154. I would also like to buy a "kit" that includes everything needed for the change. Summit doesn't seem to have one for my application. Anybody know where to get a kit? Also, I'm toying with performing the install myself but need either encouragement or admonishment for considering this. I do all my own work and have for years, but have never set up a dif. I don't mind buying a couple specialty tools to do the job and if I have good instruction I feel like I can succeed just fine. But first I'm going to scour the local junkyards and if I can find one for a good price I will probably just replace the entire rear end instead. From what I've read I should be looking for a H5 axle code which translates to a 8.8" with 4.10 gear. Mine is a H9. Does that sound right?

Install kits on Summit http://www.summitracing.com/search/d...ng&keyword=8.8

Comfortable pulling/pressing bearings? Up for buying an inch pound non-click torque wrench, if so you can likely do it yourself.

Good luck finding a 4.10 8.8 you'll need it.
