Snow covered Bullnose......in ALABAMA!!!

There are a number of reasons that I live in Alabama........this is NOT one of them!!!

I can just hear you Northern guys......"That's nothing!!"

True for you....but this is paralyzing for us! 3-5 inches of it tonight....EMA declared all road and bridges impassable.

1980Supercab,

I live about 40 miles to your west. We had the same... it was truly beautiful. There was no wind, so all the tree limbs and power lines had snow built up on them. We had no problems.

Glad to know I have a FTE neighbor!

It was nice, I was off work, kids built snowmen and did some sledding down the back of our land. And it's practically gone today!

Yes, good also to have a FTE member close by!

Houston is the LAST place I would want to be with slick streets. That's 'cause I've been there done that. Back around 2000 we had freezing rain and I had to go to the airport from Katy. At the I-10 overpass over HW6 the brilliant police had traffic stopped and were letting people attempt to go over, one vehicle at a time - from the start of the incline. That's right, no momentum whatsoever. I made it, but few did as they just gunned it and swapped ends.

That's not too far where Im at but I will say Houston is well known for its crappy drivers... People here definitely don't know how to drive in those conditions. I remember living in OKC in the blizzard of 2009, I had no issues driving but I was extremely impressed with everyone elses ability to handle the snow like nothing!! It took me about 10 minutes to really analyze how to drive in the conditions

I will applaud OK citizens most of you guys aren't too bad at driving

Thanks. I'm not sure the newbies qualify, but us oldies used to get a lot of practice. Not so much anymore though.

Yes, that's why it's actually known as "Climate change"

Our weather has been getting more out of whack for decades now, the seasons have shifted by a month, it's crazy
