Mileage: 180000
Color: Dark Stone

Location (State): TX

Posting for a friend.

His truck is a 2006 Ford 6.0 F350 CCLB 4wd. I inspected this truck and ran diagnostics on it prior to him buying it from a local Ford Dealer. The only thing it needed was a FICM that he has long since replaced. He spared no expense on this truck and had the engine bulletproofed and the trans gone through by Powerstroke Enginuities in Houston.

Parts list:

-ARP Studs
-OEM Ford Cylinder Head gaskets
-Rocker box gaskets
-Intake gaskets
-Exhaust Manifold gaskets
-New injector o-rings
-New Glow plug o-rings
-New OEM Ford Oil Cooler
-HPOP Gaskets
-New Thermostat
-New Dummy Plugs and Standpipes
-Coolant flush with VC-9, refilled with ELC Coolant
-New Ford Oil Filter cap and filter
-Updated STC Fitting
-EGR delete

The truck came with a Banks 4 inch Exhaust and a K&N intake.

All of the work was done at Powerstroke Enginuities and the receipt is in the pictures below. I've had the very same work done on my 2005 6.0 Excursion and haven't had an issue or worry about my truck.

Price is $18,500 OBO, feel free to make an offer as he needs to sell due to falling on hard times. PM me for more info.

Very nice truck, as i am new and have never herd anything good about the 6.0's. Can you explain what bullet proofing is? Im guessing this makes the 6.0 a reliable engine?

In so many words, Yes.

Bulletproofing a 6.0 is basically installing ARP headstuds as opposed to the stock "Torque To Yield" head bolts that don't stand up to increasing cylinder pressures over time. The ARP studs hold the heads down and stand up to increasing cylinder pressures MUCH better.

Deleting the EGR cooler, performing a flush, and then changing the Oil cooler eliminates a deadly chain reaction that has the potential to destroy the engine. It starts with the oil cooler clogging from silicate fall out and/or casting sand. The oil cooler clogging restricts the flow of coolant to the EGR cooler, which causes it to rupture. It depends on how bad it ruptures, but one of three things happen:

1. The EGR cooler ruptures, cylinders fill with coolant, and hydrolock the engine leading to the most expensive repair. (practically engine rebuild/replacement)

2. The EGR cooler ruptures and leaks under hard acceleration. This also causes the truck to "puke" through the degas bottle appearing to be a headgasket failure when it's really a leaking EGR cooler.

3. The EGR cooler ruptures and causes steam to come out of the exhaust under acceleration.

Deleting the EGR cooler, performing a flush, replacing the Oil cooler, and adding a coolant filter prevent this deadly chain reaction from occurring again.

Powerstroke Enginuities takes this one step further by resealing the engine and installing all the updated Ford parts, addressing the failures, and issues seen on the 6.0. When they're done with your truck, you never have to worry about anything going wrong with it again. Atleast that's been my experience...

Powerstroke Enginuities is one of (if not THE) best shop in Houston among several others that work on these trucks. They're the most respected and trusted shop in town.

What if anything needs to be fixed? The reason i ask, after your comment i started to look into 6.0s and now i am considering one as my truck. The fiance and I are moving 3,000 miles from California to North Carolina.

Is it posible to get a used car loan for a vehicle not in a dealership or would it be a personal loan? Maybe i should ask my bank? 18500 is a little high for us. Our budget was 15,000 and with taxes we have up to 2,500 to put down. I will talk to my fiance and then get back to you.
