Gungrove, welcome to FTE.

As a preventive measure so you don't get in trouble or run afoul of the rules for FTE, please remember the guidelines you had to agree to when you registered here. Site Guidelines - Ford Trucks

FTE has a very strict "No Advertising" policy except for paid supporting vendors. This even includes any business that isn't auto related, so please be mindful of the verbiage you use when you post about your Excursion.

Not trying to be a wet blanket, just trying to be a little pro-active and make sure you don't say the wrong thing, with good intentions.

Stewart

Stewart thanks for the warning. My intentions of this post is to share my build as well as get some help and advise to do this the best most cost effective way. Once completed if done well hopefully the Ex will do plenty of advertising for us

If you think I post anything that crosses the line please let me know but I don't think we should have any issues.

Back on topic, another use of the Ex will be our annual trip to a Jimmy Buffett concert (yes I am a parrot head). With concert season coming up soon I would like to have a full length safari rack on top that can support at couple of us in lawn chairs. I have seen several custom builds that have given me ideas of what I want. Anyone know of any prebuilt racks that would serve as a good start? I figure I could save a little money if I could find something pre made instead having it completely custom built. While I can do most mechanical things myself I am not a fabricator.

Nice truck! Good choice for lift / wheels and tires.

Welcome to the Ex forum from a fellow Mid-Missourian!
Lived in Columbia most of my life, but all of my father's family comes from Macon... small world. Even a street named after our family there.

Keep up the pics of the area would ya? I miss me some MO now that we live in Florida.

And our intent is to drool and wish we had your money so we could do something similar!

And we can't wait to see the completed project!

I know a way that would absolutely guarantee no issues. I mean, don't get me wrong, I know it's rare that a FN SLP TACTICAL 12-gauge just suddenly appears on a persons front porch with their name on it, but I also know stranger things have happened.

I mean, ya know....just saying!

Nice Ex!

Congrats on your new project I love it!
Looks really good.
I love the color but I like it better with the chrome bumpers rather than the beige.
Good luck on the build..

Graphics on the sides complete. Just ordered 08+ tow mirrors from 1a Auto. Just need some good ideas on the roof rack.
