When I titled my F47 a few weeks ago the county asked what tonnage I wanted to have it licensed for; I replied 7 tons as the door sticker says 15,000#. It probably isn't a big deal at the moment as I expect to haul more than tow, but should I be looking for a higher licensure?

 

Its broken down into certain weights here. They go 12,000 18,000 24,000 and up into commercial land.... 18,000 lb farm tags is what I run cause they are cheap and typically cover what I do. Occasionally I go over it but not often enough to justify the expensive higher tags.... I don't tow heavy into a densly populated area anyhow just rural.
