Doing an egr delete

I am working on getting all the stuff up right now myself. I am changing dummy plugs, standpipes, stc fitting, full flush and refill with elc, oil change, fuel filter change, transmission pan and filter, trans refill, egr delete with new uppipe and a new y pipe, new belt and hoses. All this together I am budgeted total for ~1000 give or take but that number includes all ancillaries--gaskets, fluids, tools, etc. I will be taking a week off work to do the job. Oh--I'm not including a tuner in my numbers right now either. If you're just doing a egr delete (depending what brand) the min. you have is the delete kit and coolant to top off with and a tuner (I assume you will be getting one) I'm using the IPR delete and uppipe and that will all the gaskets, turbo mount kit, etc is around half of my budget. Hope this helps.

Some trucks depending on pcm flash will set the CEL when you do a delete. Far as I know that's the only reason for the tuner is so you can turn off the EGR and not set the CEL.
I don't plan on getting a tuner too soon after I finish mine so will probably be staring at the CEL for a while lol.

it depends on the software version in your truck. Generally earlier model trucks won't turn on the Check Engine Light and later models will. If the light on the dash doesn't bother you, it will not be a problem for you as far as mounting or how it works. The tuner will tell the pcm to ignore the EGR, and the light will stay off.
