Better handling with a lift kit?
99 f250 v10 cc 4x4 stock size AT tires, completely stock suspension
Ive been looking into either a 350 spring/block set or a leveling kit. I used to have 33s and always thought it needed a couple inches.
Even though I have stock size right now, next time I'd like to at least get 33s if not 35s. I also dont want it to look silly until I get the bigger tires.
From what I can tell 4 in the fron and 2 in the back would be about right - like a leveled 350.
Now Ive ridden in plenty of lifted trucks that rode like hell. Im not trying to get a car ride out of my truck by any means, but Ive heard of some lifts making the truck ride and handle better.
Any lift experiance that handles and rides better than stock? (Brand and height?)
Do you know any links to articles documenting or testing this, not just seat of the pants testing?
It seems the icon lifts are considered the best around here, but they're pricy! I'm looking for a more affordable option (not just the cheapest-I know they'll suck)
I know the new shocks with it will help, and I want to add a steering stabilizer too.
Any input? Pics?
Thanks!
Brian
(Yes Ive been searching and reading too, sometimes you just need to ask!)
