You ain't kidding! I bought some of those for my old 06 focus (yes I had a focus I used for a daily driver lol). Needed wipers and thought hey Michelin makes good tires and these wipers are cheap so they are probably good. U would need two 12 inch subs and a 1000 watt amp to not hear those things beeerrr beeeerrrr berrrrr. It drove me absolutely crazy.

^^ Agree with that! ^^

Some of the new blades use silicone rubber which lasts a LOT longer. The trouble is they tend to be smeary compared to regular blades. Yeah, they last longer, but they cost 2-3X as much, so you put up with smeary a lot longer. Better to get conventional blades and just change them every 6 months. YMMV

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I do have some rain x so im gonna apply that. Been too cold but I'm gonna suck it up. The problem with mine is they simply don't wipe worth a crap especially if it's just a mist off other vehicles and there is salt on the roads. Just smears and you can barely see. It's been so cold here lately I haven't felt like inspecting them but after i had to pull over to the closest gas station the other day because I couldn't see I realized i needed to get new wipers. They may just need cleaning but I'm just going to buy some from the local parts store

I always get the "all season" Bosch wipers. No metal hinges to get bound up with ice and snow, and not much more expensive than the cheapers ones. I replace mine in the fall so they're good all winter.

I don't use RainX because it seems to wreck the wipers faster than normal.

I usually go with the cheapest ones or whatever is on sale. It seems I have to replace them once a year anyways between the heat in the summer and the snow and ice in the winter. Every time I pick up an expensive set they seem to last half as long as the cheap ones.

I use Bosch wiper blades, and lots of rainX on the outside of the windshield. Really makes It smoother to the touch, maybe its just me, I use a aerosol glass cleaner, follow instructions, buff with a microfiber towel, seems to work well. Think later 94-97 trucks use the J hook style arms, earlier ones use the pin style. got around 3 years out of my old wipers, but my truck is usually out of the weather whenever its parked, and doesn't see any mud or offroading.

I've used the premium motorcraft blades on a few different cars. The ones that apply even pressure over the whole blade. The ones on my truck have been on for 2 years and still work perfectly. The truck never sees ice or snow though.

Cheap ones. I won't buy them if they're more than $4 each.

Seriously, I've tried them all, I've spent $35 on a single wiper blade before. Cheap Anco blades are by far the best value.

I really, really don't like the new mono beam style aftermarket ones. They're downright terrible. Except for the Ford branded/motorcraft wipers, which I buy for the wife's Escape. They seem to work well, but the aftermarket ones don't compare.

I absolutely love Rain-x treatment. I'm a bit **** on the apply, it takes me about a half hour to clean a windshield and apply it.
