I need to replace the pinion bearings on my 95 f250 with a Dana 50 IFS in it. Does someone know where a good place is to get parts? What should I replace while I have it out? What are some tricks in putting it back together? Thanks

Getting the bearings are the easy part. But reassembling it back together with proper preload, I would leave to someone who knows what they are doing, it is not for the novice.

Also, what makes you think the pinion bearings are bad? Do you use 4wd a lot?

 

The big issue is the setting up. Proper pinion bearing preload is crucial.
The other fun part is with it on the bench holding it.
I use My trans holding fixture for 9" diffs. I would bet it would work for that as well.

It is not impossible but not a job just anyone can do...study the setup specs in a good manual.
