Bills Hunting truck

This is my beauty.. I hope you all like it.
The Admins will post a few pictures. Please be patient, I do not have permissions yet.

I'm Bill Rhinehart and I live in Riverside, Calif.

This is a BEAUTIFUL 1967 Ford F-250 Ranger Camper Special.
Turquoise over White.
2ND owner. 616,000 miles

Built 428 Cobra, Engle Cam, Hooker Headers, Holly 780, Pertronics ignition, Modified heads with hardened seats and valves. 470 HP. 500 Lb Ft. 12 MPG
Built C-6.
Dana 60 Limited Slip, 3.73 gears
PS, PB, Air, Cruise.
Sprayed in Bed Liner.
Those mirrors are FACTORY.

In near perfect shape. It's my hunting truck
It runs real well.

I'm excited to be here. I LOVE this truck.

I told my wife, "Honey, when I die you can sell everything I own, my trophy's, my guns, everything EXCEPT that truck. If you do, I'll haunt you from the grave."

Thanks

Bill

Man, if that's not a sleeper, I don't know what is...

It would be funny to put a very quiet exhaust on it, then roast every new sports car lol

It turn heads and runs like a scalded ape. Eats up most anything that challenges it too.
It's hard to get it to"hook up". The limited slip just spins the rear tires if you don't take it easy.

Once it hooks up it's "Katie Bar The Door". Shift point 4900 RPM. Most times I just blow by the other and shut her down.

One thing that REALLY helped pep it up is the timing mod. I took the distributor out and re-set the mechanical timing to a max of 20 degrees then set the "initial" timing at 14 degrees. Now that big FE motor is super happy in the low end. (it HATES being set at 6 before) It doesn't heat up anymore and it's pulling 18.5 inches of vacuum at idle. (even with the cam)

Ladder bars. Once you get a little torque into the rear end, it pushes the rear into the pavement. You could probably get something in there that would be tucked up out of sight

Ladder bars with some wider tires. It would really move! But I guess you can't really get any wider without switching wheels. What size are you running now?

The tires are 950 16.5's.
I'm not really interested in making it super street car.
It's a hunting and work truck.
Eventually I'm planning on getting rid of the 16.5's because finding tires is getting more difficult.
If I spend any money on it, I want another paint job and a Gear Vendors 2 speed overdrive. That way it'll get 15 or 16 MPG on the road. My friends 2010 Toyota 1/2 ton gets 14.

Good ideas. If you got 16 or 17" wheels tires are Lot easier to find.

Oh Cleveland.
The exhaust IS QUIET.
If you pull up next to me the only thing you'll hear as a rumble and the headers pinging.

It's hard to stay out of it but I do.
Tickets for exhibition of speed are REAL expensive.

I drive it like an old lady.

I drive easy too for the most part. But for some odd reason, my right foot just falls down once in a while, causing excessive noise and acceleration. It's an intermittent problem so I've never gotten a chance to diagnose it. Haha

O.O I could't even imagine the power behind that 428. Beautiful looking truck as well. Now when I see the Ranger burning its tires here in Riverside I know who it belongs too!

A 4-link would tuck up nicely. Absolutely beautiful ride you have there. I'm jealous. Been looking for a good F250 CS for almost a year now.
