Speaker only working on 1 side..
Got my 06 F150 4.6l single cab (With like 1 feet of space behind the seat, don't know if that's considered single cab) and the driver side front speaker does not work, although all others do. I went and bough some new speakers for it, and changed both front speakers but the driver side still doesn't work.
I looked through the wires in the door and can't see any damaged wires, so i'm trying to figure what else could be the issue here. I know NOTHING in wiring but i'm willing to learn. I tried on the radio putting it only the play the driver side but only the rear speaker plays.
Where do I start looking? I just ordered a manual but it won't be in for a few weeks so until then i'm hopping somebody can help me. Not that it's a big issue, but it's quite obnoxious only hearing the music from one side.
Could it be the whole 'radio' system?
Thanks my friends.

I had the same issue a couple of years ago. I thought it was a bad speaker in my driver side door so I went ahead and bought Polk speakers for all of the doors trying for a little upgrade. I connected them and everything worked great. During the winter we had some sub zero temps in Ohio for a few days. All of a sudden my driver side door speaker only did not work. I pulled the speaker, giggled the connection and nothing. I took it apart and there was a lot of moisture in the connection. Blew out the moisture re-connected and it worked. Funny Thing is this just happened again last week and I did the same procedure. Speaker works again.
Not saying that's your issue but can't hurt to check. Run a volt/ohm meter to the connection and see if it's getting power as well. That will at least give you an idea on which way to work the problem.

I had a problem with static on my left front speaker and the cause was the main plug in the door jam. All I did to correct the problem was just re-seat the plug. It drove me crazy for awhile. I changed speakers and the head unit to try to isolate the problem. Just for clarification so you know the plug I'm referring to, look at the door as if you are planning to remove it completely, the plug in the door jam is where my problem was. Since reseating it I've had no problems whatsoever.
Just a thought.
