what is wrong with Ford?!!

Why is it that if looking for a vehicle that can carry 7 and get around 25 mpg...Ford isn't even in the game (under 25k$)?

Why is it that my CC f250 is more of a practical people hauler than what Ford offers...I.e. Why own another fuel guzzling ford SUV vs a minivan type vehicle?

I really could use a four cylinder 2wd midsize pickup for a buisness I'm starting.....I wont be looking at Ford either on this I guess.

F150's that look like Toyotas with Mario brothers lettering, and still don't get better mpg that a gm with a v-8. But hey it has aluminum body with 4 bajillion miles of copper wire to power the oversize tablet called a radio and heated seats and steering wheel, etc, etc, etc.

A raptor without a v-8 and is now a mall cruiser. But by golly it has fake v-8 sound pumping through the speakers....

Mustangs with IRS and no V-8.

I hate to say it, my last new ford is in my driveway..3 years removed. Won't be another ford as they no longer offer a product that fits my needs and wants.

It honestly looks like Ford hired a bunch of designers and excutives from Kia and Toyota to run the show.

Wth is wrong with making simple practical vehicles and selling the heck out of them?

Stepping down off my soap box. Flame retardant bunker gear on.

the car companies build what the sheep buy. the government tells the sheep they need to buy little sardine cans, so they do.

Transit and Transit Connect should fit the bill, but it would be nice if they brought the Ranger back.

The Flex is a 7 seater, with available awd, 25mpg highway EPA rating. directly compares to the Chevy Traverse. Can't buy hardly anything from anyone, new, for $25k these days, unless you like a sub compact.

A V6 F-150 would compare pretty close to what people are calling "midsized" trucks these days.

I think Ford's offerings are better suited now than ever. The only thing we're missing is the Ranger and I feel that Ford screwed the pooch on that one.

You can't compete with Jeep, no sense in trying. Ford has proved insufferably in the past that they can't build a good quality mini van. There are other good players in that segment anyway and they have their loyalists.

The T-series vans will ultimately be more versatile than the E-series vans. Other than size, the F-series line is all anyone needs and more.

Ford's sedan options are quite good with the Fusion being one of the safest and best built cars on the road.

The Focus can be had a granny machine or a fricken speedster, you choose.

The Taurus has emerged as a great replacement for the CV and is showing up all over the country as Police Interceptors, fleet cars and private sales.

A base model Escape is very well equipped and can be had for about 23K MSRP.

This might be true if we don't consider many die-hard van owners need the towing capacity current E-Series provide. Initial offerings don't even come close to providing those sorts of ratings.

I like the Tranist (full-sized) at least in theory----for a tradesman its definitely "better". Because I don't tow one might find its way to me after a few years to sort out any issues such new vehicles seem to experience.

IIRC, the top towing rating for the Transit is 12,000lbs. If you need more than that you should be in an F350 or larger.
