Be aware that the 49-50 Mercury overdrive requires hacking your cross member too. I bought one years ago with plans to install it in a 48 F-1. I never got past the planning stages when I realized it wasn't going to bolt in.

I put that T98 in there so its got the low dip cross member from an F2. It should clear that. (I hope)

Is your F-2 crossmember in the stock location? If you measure it out, the governor or solenoid ends up smack on the crossmember, right where the brake MC is. It isn't a depth issue, it's a sideways issue. Like 38Coupe, I had an OD trans in hand, measured it out and just couldn't see a way, even with severe hacking on the (F-1) crossmember. You'd have to go with hanging pedals or relocate the MC underneath.

Yes, Its in the stock location. Ill have to look into it. It's going in there. Some way some how!
