Since this thread has gotten on the topic of injectors, Glenn, what would you say you are making with the stage II's? They are on my list, but I don't want to get stage I's and decide that I want II's shortly after..

I don't really know John, I will get on a dyno soon. I do know that I have high EGT's.

I wonder if you used some of that flexible pipe, and made a duct to pull colder air from under the truck if you would see a difference? How high is high EGT for you?

how high do you want it. There is a skinny pedal on the right that controls that

I was AE data logging pulling my camper yesterday and left my foot on the floor to try and get a good recording. EGT's went to 1,600°, ouch!! This has been a problem for ten years now, I'm getting real bummed out about it. I have to get my water injection working and buy a new aftermarket IC to try and help it. Maybe get some live tuning, somehow, someway. Or, just sell my truck and buy a 6.7

I guess it's time to get extreme then Glenn! Port the manifolds, or get headers, Liquid/air IC, maybe those might help?

I thought 1400 was like the max you wanted to go?! I read that anything past that for very long will start melting down the pistons.

Has anyone ever checked inlet vs outlet temps to see if these ic s do the job even.
I just would like to know if one of the high priced aftermarket ones would help.

I'm looking at the IC at Diesel Innovations, ouch, ouch, ouch, $1,300. But, I'm getting desperate! Which one does Jim Rosewood talk about Nick?

Oh, by the way, that's an excellent question Aaron. I have wondered about that!

I was looking around at CX, banks, several others.pretty much 1200-1300 is normal.
I sure hope this 400 frame hairdryer does OK. But I'm not towing heavy like you. I am ready to see you have some success I'll tell you that. I don't like that ship jumping talk round these parts..

Oh, you know I'm not jumping ship, just getting frustrated. The way it is right now I'm not afraid to go anywhere. I'm just striving for perfection, like there is anything like that, LOL

The last data log I did I shifted it my self and had rpm's up to 3,300. So, in other words, its not a lugging situation.
