400 Rebuild???

OK I'm sorry if this has already been answered im new to the forum so I'm not sure how to find old posts...

Im building a 78 f250 and I'm a little stuck on the engine. its a 400 stripped down , hot tanked and bead blasted. block is clean and ready to build. I want to be able to spin the tires and show off a little but nothing too intense. i was planning on doing a stock rebuild but i want more power, how can i get more power without having to run Premium fuel, or blowing my wallet? Cam?

Cam, straight up timing, new intake and 4bbl carb, and headers. That'll make a HUGE difference. I went a little farther with my 400 build. Check out my 400 build in my sig
