Dealer won't give me my 08 F350 I purchased
Ok, so I purchased a 2008 F350 King Ranch late Saturday night. They had just taken it on trade and said that I had to bring it back to get a full pre sale inspection. When I took it back, they called a couple days later saying that the truck had an issue with the valves and that it was too much to fix. So they want to give me the money back and end the deal.
We got this truck for a steal and want to keep it. When we signed the paperwork, they said that they would fix any issues with the truck. So, my question is, can I tell them that it is my truck and I want it? I signed all the paperwork. And also tell them to fix it? I need to know ASAP because I have to go to the dealer to work something out.
Thanks
Oh, I am new and my have posted in the wrong place, if I did, can a mod please move it to the correct place.

sounds to me like they realize they screwed up and want the truck back so they can resell it at a larger profit or maybe the previous owner wants it back. It seems odd though that they would let a vehicle go before it's been inspected, or even put it on the lot. If you signed a purchase agreement and have paid for the truck then it's yours, demand it to be fixed(if there really is anything wrong with it) and returned. If it was the other way around and you wanted out of the deal after the papers were signed they'd tell you to go pound sand. Good luck.

If you signed papers that says "I will buy this truck for $XXX and you will sell this truck for XXX and fix any issues", then yes, they owe you that truck, less any issues. Read the contract carefully, is that exactly what it says?

That is where stuff gets tricky. Because if I say that I want to keep the truck and deal with whatever issue myself, or let it break and have the warranty pay for it, they might deny it because it has a tune and EGR/DPF delete.

it depends, can vary by state I believe and there is usually a "we owe" form that would say safety shop inspection we will fix everything. also there are forms that say if bank or title issue with trade, or a catch all phrase that says if they want vehicle back you have signed to bring it back and unwind deal.. I know that just because you sign for a vehicle ( say dealer trade it in) and you leave for a day or two til it comes in the papers mean nothing until you take delivery, but also sure you signed the other catch all paper too... remember they sell a ton of cars you and I only ever buy a few handfuls. they know how to protect themselves and nobody reads the fine print... you may get a lawyer , but it might just end up being an expense to get same result

And after I got home, with the truck for the one day I had it, I noticed that it has a DPF and EGR delete. So it must also be tuned.
