Thank you, and I had the frame and running gear painted with John deer blitz black. I live in a farming community so my sandblaster has a TON of it laying around. Plus it's durable and looks purdy it's easy to get though. Everything else is painted with rust-oleum satin black. Very tough stuff also

Quick Update
As far as progress though I just bought tires so I am burning through my pockets fast. So it will be a while till I get to the brakes. Having a dilemma with my front wheel cylinders, it looks like the PO put what I think are F1 cylinders on it so I think I'm going to go back to F2/F3 ones. Also gotta figure out that darn parking brake. Bright side is there is plenty of work to do without spending money! I'm becoming emotionally attached to this truck...

widow makers gone for good

Well here's an update. Got my tires mounted and these suckers are big! But I like it! I decided for the traction tires in the rear cause I love the look. rims are powder coated gloss black, pictures don't do em much good. Can't wait to get them on my chassis...soon. oh also included a pic with me for comparison I'm 6'1

Those tires will look right at home. The wheel wells are so big it will fill them nice.
My F2 tires are a little smaller than yours, and as this picture might show - still plenty of room in the wells. 215/85R16 = 30.5 inch diameter.
You are doing very fine work. The emotional attachment is a good feeling, huh?

brought her home

Well today I finally got the cab back. Unfortunately when putting the cab on it needed my full attention. So I couldn't get any pictures, but overall a smooth install. Now time to figure out where my engines at in the rebuilding process. Shes a big girl, now it's getting expensive so it's going to slow way down.

Looking good so far, Sam.
Keep it up at the pace you can both afford and still have fun.
It's gonna look good when you're done.

Looking good. Try to do one thing each day. That helps keep you interested, and also helps give that important feeling of accomplishment.

Thank you guys for the kind words! Much appreciated! I have a question though. So I mounted the cab and got the rear suspension arms connected but my cab sits low on the frame. Is this normal? Or did I assemble it wrong?

That looks right to me. At least, it's how mine sits on the frame.

rear cab to frame clearance

On my 1950 F-3 there is 1/2 inch clearance between the frame top and the cab. There is no indication of it having ever touched. I'll look some more at your pictures and my truck to see what could be causing yours to be so close. Patrick
