transmission jerking

I've noticed lately that my 5.4 will jerk and lose power going up hill. Or when I let off the gas and press the accelerator back down. I've put a reader on it and the only code it shows is EGR valve? Can you'd some help

It's probably misfire due to the coils, boots, or spark plugs.
