Bought my 2nd 'bump' over the weekend: 1971

Bought my 2nd 'bump' over the weekend. I was initially out to just buy a bed for my 1968 F100 Ranger. I found this 1971 F100 Custom and it's pretty much together and less rusty than my 68. So instead of taking its bed and tailgate off I think I'm going to see if I can get it running. Everything is there, they said it might have a problem with the fuel pump but ya never know whats up. It's been sitting for 3 or 4 years. It's very dirty right now but I'll get it cleaned up and pretty (if possible). I'm wondering what size motor it has, I wasn't able to get the VIN off it yet so I'm not sure. I know it's an automatic so I think it's a 360 with a C6. Here's a little slide show of the 71: 1971 Ford F100 Custom Slideshow by ajbremer | Photobucket

Engine most likely 360, not sure on avail. date but shift indicater looks C-O-M of FMX rather than C6, do agree auto. ND should know for sure.

Looks like a project for sure. Wonder if the PO passed with books still on dash.

Looks pretty solid. Interested in seeing what you do with it. FE's are great engines.

Good luck with your build.
