Apologies for the lateness of this reply but have been putting in a ton of hrs. on the truck .After this post back at it . Installed new pump . No fuel to bowl or carb .Put more gas in tank as Ross suggested . Took apart lines and blew them out .Installed NOS fuel pump . Correct # 9785 . Inspected cap on fuel pump cam . Seemed not exactly round .Cap had a little sq. side to it . Measured end on fuel pump rod & compared it to the cap . Found a small socket the same size as rod end & made the cap the same size .I don't believe the cap was seating properly on the rod end . . Installed pump . Took off gas cap & noticed a abnormal back pressure . Thought that's not normal .Looked at pump & noticed the bowl was full . Moved the accelerator rod by hand it squirted fuel in carb . Awesome .Got in , turned key , pushed starter & the flatty fired off to warm up . YEAJH !!!!
Took off old roller wheels & tires & bolted on the restored 16" wheels w/ new Coker 6:00x16 WWW tires w/ beauty ring s& center caps. The FORD on the caps are not painted any color . I believe the original were blue letters or maybe red . Will post some pics to night in stock truck build pics .Which ever color the original FORD letters were on the caps will get some decals made to match .

Swapped the gas cap from the 1ST-RIDE to the stock truck . Haven't started it yet with the other cap but will monitor the system . A little FYI for anyone with a heater trying to use the original style clamps . They do not close the rubber hose tight enough around the core tubes . Had a leak problem twice before I figured it out . Set me back a day & a half .Used the original & a narrow reg . style hose clamp & problem cured . The Coker WWW look bitchin ! Have a restored '51 Wis. truck plate & a restored '52 Wis truck plate . Both have a restored very hard to find yr. tab . This plate is for the front bumper . May start another thread to ask members which color plate looks best . The '51 is burgundy w/ white #'s while the'52 is orange w/ black #'s .The truck is red . What do you think ? Post a pic w/ each & see ? later , Denny
