Amazing build! Can't wait to see what you do with the wiring and guages. I really like the color of the truck too.

Thanks guys!!! The dash is going to be as simple as I can get it with the 2011 cluster behind the factory dash with a billet insert that will have very similar characteristics as the factory one did....

Do you have pics of the rear suspension? I see some huge tires under there and need some ideas on how to do my 57.

The rear wheels are 15" wide and fits between the frame rails and fender. What is currently in the rear is factory hangers and leafs and flipped to opposite side and on the inside. Narrowed rear and moved mounts for leaf springs along with cutting factory rivets and bolting back on was pretty much the grunt of it.

Did some crazy mods under the hood at the core support. It amazingly opened up he whole engine bay and made it flow!! I'm using two trunk latch mechanisms at each fender front so it almost won't be an obstruction.

Here's some pics of the steering column issue I had and fixed. There are tons of switches and sensors in the column and I so badly wanted to put a typical column in. Well...then I got crafty. I used the 2014 column which now in it actually is a perfect height and location. So....there is no adapters made for a billet wheel for the newer vehicles so....I had to make one by cutting the base off of the 2014 wheel and graft onto the one I had for the 59 column already. So then there was the round wheel base and crazy shaped base on the 2014. I mocked up what I will be building on this weekend and honestly am 100% satisfied!!!

I have often thought about doing the suspension like that but then I would lose the space to put a fuel tank after the axle between the rails. Did you do any boxing or frame notching to swap sides with the springs?

Here's some more things I've been working on in the interior. I wanted to do a wrap around band and wasn't 100% sure how I wanted to execute it. So I got some 1/8" aluminum and made some strips and wrapped around (which was a monster in the corners). The opening in the middle is the radio/AC/info panel from the 2014. All controls are hidden so that's all that will be seen. I then thought about how narrow the dash was and how the column was lower than the dash so I made a 3" reveal and what I did was made a little return on the bottom for strip lights hat won't be seen. As well as recessed the headlight switch and dimmer in the panel to the left of the column. What I'll be doing is painting the entire interior satin tan to match the leather material wherever I use it. The aluminum strip will be satin body color!! The contrast I thin will be badass!!

The frame rails were boxed and the factory tank was used. So definitely would have issues with a tank back there. I'm doing a custom ladder bar setup and raising all the frame rails in the rear and making a 60 gallon fuel cel for those long cruises...lol...E85 isn't everywhere and not going to flirt with being out of town and no fuel availability...lol
