I don't know how much it follows the smaller trucks, so I'm just speculating.

I'd say it is a F700, I think the "U" means it is built in Louisville, KY. The last digits are the consecutive serial number.

Trying to find out all I can because may need to install another engine. Motor in it is 330. People are telling me that the only engine that will fit is 330, 361, or 391? Have found out some F600's had the 300 six, but they say, won't work? I know it's POSSIBLE to put any engine in it, just trying to figure best way to go. Aaron

You're right on the money Train.
F70=F700.
D=330 2V heavy duty.
U=Louisville.
794699=1966.

330

It has a miss, and my friend is tired of working on it. He did say we should get it in the shop and do a compression test, going to call him today and see if he wants to do it. Chain in it is lose and he's not wanting to do that until knows more about rest of engine. Aaron

66 or 67

This truck is titled 67, but some one has stated that by numbers, it's a 66. Numbers on title and door match, think maybe a mistake at DMV sometime?

This truck also has air brakes, is that shown in serial no. or one of the other numbers on tag on door? What are they all for? Aaron
