This place is great. Yes, it is adding and yes, it has me spending a lot more money modifying my truck than I probably would have otherwise. The upside, however, is that it keeps me interested in driving a truck that is nearing 20 years old. Without this site I would have probably gotten frustrated with my truck and distracted a long time ago and gotten something else. Instead, I've owned 5 of these trucks in the last 4 years, having driven 2 of them and parted out 3 of them. I spend some money on my truck, but it is nowhere near what I would be spending buying something newer that is as capable as my truck.

The other thing you'll discover is that these are some GREAT guys. Many a conversation has been had about how odd it is, some of the friendships that have been built on the common foundation of these "old work trucks".

Sounds like you need to look at VFN Fiberglass.

Looks like I'll give them a look-see. The only qualm I have with a fiberglass scoop, is I've seem them come off on the highway before. If you've already cut holes in your hood, you might as well go and weld it on.

Great project and good looking truck, Skip. Good luck with it and have fun with your son. I am in the process of "finishing" my rebuild. I'm 34 but have had my dad to help me with ALOT of it. It's been great!

I see that now. In my head I was thinking of the fiberglass scoops that attach to your hood. I was thinking of one thing and was typing another.

Those hoods do look nice though!
