OK 71 F100 experts pick apart this ebay truck

At $23,000 it ain't happening for me, but I do like the truck (my style...simple) but I am sure some of you can peruse the many pictures provided and say what ain't right and what is.
I was surprised that the rubber floor mat did not cover down the sides of the seat for instance. Perhaps that was how they were.

Nice looking truck

It looks like it has been restored. Looks like a good job doing so. I am glad to see that price as I just bought a 72 in almost as good condition. Mine is all original, including the paint. There is no way I could afford that price....chris

VIN has 12 digits (F10AANL80629), should only have 11.

The 5th digit is the assembly plant code, seller has an A listed, but that's an error, as there's no A assembly plant code.

This makes sense: F10ANL80629: F10 = F100 2WD / A = 240 1V I-6 / N = Norfolk VA Assembly Plant / L80629 = 1971.

You think they could've done the inside of the bed for that price.
No power drum brakes, 6 cyl, manual transmission. Looks like a $5k truck to me.

Depends on your tastes as far as value as we all know.
To me it worth a lot of money (that I don't have). If I was one of the four recent powerball winners, I would buy it and drive it in a heartbeat.
As it is, I downloaded all of the pictures and are using them as a reference, particularly the interior and engine compartment.

Notice that the Flareside's bed wood floor is painted body color as original.

Usually what you see is the wood has been stained and varnished which isn't original.

There's a Range Rover and a Land Rover, MG, Pontiac Tempest, 1950 Plymouth, several M-B's, but where is the Austin?

I wouldn't say restored. I'd say spruced up. Note signs of surface rust on the bottom of the tailgate and below it. Also by the rt door hinges. Old armrests. Headlamp doors should have been polished before they sprayed the black paint. And I don't believe they are Box A 46,xxx miles. Look at the pedals. $5000 to me also.

The Austin is right next to the Range Rover. The white vehicle that you think is a Series Land Rover is actually an Austin Gipsy.

I agree. THis was a nice, well cared for, probably original owner garaged 146K vehicle that was slightly recondioned for the sale. Firewall should be body color. Horn pad should be red. Tailgate letters should be red ( probably aftermarket black decals on there). Hubcaps are incorrect, they first appear to be '73-'75 F 100's, but they are actually the thinner version early 70's Maverick or Torino car hubcaps. Should have the painted argent silver and black trim caps. Don't care for the white wall tires on a base "Custom" model, again, done to spruce it up.

Those clutch & brake rubber peddles pads look more like 146k..
Must of had the engine rebuilt after 46k ha and painted the engine bay all black.
That's the only improvements, I see.

I'd say a 5k truck also..
Car salesman know if they raise the price high enough they can come down to 20k
make a fool feel like he's getting a good deal paying so much for it..

Ps.
Maybe the guy who bet $500 and won on the nos Jr. West coast mirrors on EBay a month or so ago will buy this wonderful truck.

Looks "original" patina, but the motor was pulled/rebuilt/painted. New seat cover likely. Some paint on the inner fenders, door panels painted. Surely not a $23K truck! Was not "restored". Just another 6banger, no option truck that someone thinks is worth big money.

Are the poverty caps proper for that truck? I didn't think those were around til dentsides?
