I didn't mean any offense by it, just looks a little rough to me. The way I look at it, if you want an 80-86 truck, deal with the dash, deal with the door panels, deal with the tail lights, ya know...kinda keep it original...i'm a purist that way. If you want a 87-91 or 92-96 style truck, then why not just buy one in the first place? It'd be so much less work, and by the sounds of it, you like the dash, the door panels, trying to fit a new style dash in a 80-86 truck is going to be way more trouble than it's worth. I know you're getting a lot of the parts from your brother in-law, but why not wrench on what he's got if he's giving it to you for so cheap? Or better yet, but some ratty 87-91 or 92-96 and then throw the parts at that?
Again, I don't mean any offense, just my .02 that I think it should be kept original, and from my travels...when someone starts bolting cabs and bed's around to different frames, I get a little wary. I do wish you the best of luck with it though. It will be a long road to haul.

What I mean is that the dash looks to have Rhino Liner on it, it has a roll pan with 87-96 tail lights, the doors look to have been replaced with 87-96 doors, it's an F150 bolted to an F250 frame....

I'm with svt dude, keep it pure . Don't hack it up with a hodgepodge of parts . New dash is available also used junk yard doors are possible to get also. Body lifts are kinda crummy with the ttb . Ever think of just doing a sas insted of the body lift? Even if something's free dosent mean it's worth doing!

im redoing all body panels with era specific parts. as far as everything else, im going with nice quality shifter, seats are still questionable due to shifter location, and interior I have is 100% complete. I cant go fishing arounf for era specific interior right now im on a time schedule, and the spare money are for new driveshafts

update: starting the frame off build this weekend. what we will get done is:: paint chassis/suspension parts, paints trans/transfer case, install drivetrain, install 3 inch body lift, install all linkages and brackets for c6 swap, complete led bulb swap, new manifold back exhaust, custom seat frame, and maybe have it drivable (not road ready). seems like a lot, but we have a solid 2 days to start with. we also have a full lift and tools available. many pics to come
