Rear Glass Installation on 51 F1

Rear Glass Installation on 51 F1
I need advice on installing a rear glass on my 51 F1. I have a new seal and glass. I was trying to find a youtube video on how to do it on a 51,52 Ford.
I plan on using the cord method.
Do I install from the inside or outside? The large rubber side I think goes in the inside of the cab. So I'm thinking someone pushing and holding the glass from inside and I'm on the outside trying to work the seal in place by using the cord.

I believe you're on the right track. Go here to see an earlier discussion on the subject.

Yep. That's the beauty of using soapy water, the cleanup is super simple. It just washes away. Any kind of lube that's oil or silicone based will make a big mess, especially silicone. Keep that away from the paint shop!

I didn't have anyone around the shop when I decided it was time to re-install the rear window. I did have some short bungee cords that I used to keep it from falling whenever I needed to check my progress on the outside of the cab. It worked, but probably would have been a lot easier if I had waited until I could get someone there to help.
