Okay, I haven't done this on my truck, just previous vehicles, but you should be able to make it work. Do you have compressed air? A dust-off can might work with the straw right on the nozzle. Anyway, you open the hood and find a union in the supply hose to the nozzle. Separate the line so the water/trash you blow out has somewhere to go. Now blow air into the nozzle which cleans it and blows any objects back down the supply line and out. Another thing that makes a mess but works is a Water Pik. In fact, this probably does the best job because it literally flushes out the line. You can even put windshield washer solution in it. Just the same as with the air, put the nozzle on the orifice and back-flush the nozzle and supply line.
